In the United States Thanksgiving falls on the Fourth Thursday in November. In Canada it falls on the Second Monday of October. The latter means that in Canada Thanksgiving Sunday falls almost every year on "Ordinary 28 / Proper 23" of the Lectionary Cycle, while the former means that in the USA Thanksgiving is most often celebrated on the last Sunday of each year's Lectionary Cycle, which is "Ordinary 34 / Proper 29" (Christ the King Sunday) The following table gives the readings for Thanksgiving for the three years of the lectionary cycle. You will note that the Gospel Reading does not conform to the main Gospel used for the year of the Lectionary (ie - Luke is used in Year A rather than Matthew, Matthew in Year B rather than Mark or John, and John is used in Year C rather than Luke). Note as well that the Philippians passage in Thanksgiving, Year A is used for Ordinary 28 / Proper 23 Year C while the Gospel for Thanksgiving, Year A is used for Ordinary 28 / Proper 23 Year C.
